1886 1887 N172 Old Judge 193-1 Gleason Portrait SGC A

Description: 1886-7 N172 Old Judge 193-1 Bill Gleason Portrait - Graded SGC AGleason was a shortstop for the 1886 Champions St. Louis Browns. Print anomaly - this card has printing from 3 cards: 1) Gleason 2) Along the bottom of the Gleason card where the word "BROWNS" is printed, is a partial upside-down printing of "GOODWIN & Co, New York" advertising text (which is printed at the bottom of N172s), and then 3) continuing the upside-down printing, the top right corner of a new Old Judge image with the number "5" that you can see in the bottom left of the Gleason card. The "5" comes from HOF Mike "King" Kelly's 254-9 pose, a picture of which is shown in the listing but is not included in the auction. Technical condition - Printing is strong (though I wouldn't call it "bold") with light to moderate wear to the corners. The edges are hand cut and the back has pencil mark notations & light paper loss likely from scrapbook removal. Please see scans. Card will be shipped via USPS Priority.
