Description: I have here for sale a book entitled CHINA CYCLE by Richard P Dobson. It is a first edition published in 1946 by Macmillan & Co Ltd, London. The author spent several years in China before the outbreak of World War II as a tobacco company representative. He describes his growing affection for the Chinese people and the horrors the Japanese caused in China during this period. There are 8 b/w plates and two maps - one of China on the front endpaper and one of South West China on the rear endpaper. Mid blue hardboards with the title in gilt to the spine. A few light splashes to the front board.
