Description: Description: The item up for bids is a fine and rare circa 1970s Magni-Orb note holder by Sven Petersen for SAAP Hillerød, Denmark. It is a superb sculptural Danish modern design rendered in beautiful rosewood. The solid sphere has a magnetic attraction to the square base and it settles back to the center when moved (see the attached video for a demonstration). It is signed on the base with a black and gold three-dot label that reads S-AA-P, PAT ANM, HILLERØD, DANMARK. It’s a great example of Danish modern design, have some fun and bid! Dimensions: The base measures about 4-3/4” by 4-3/4” and is about 7/8” thick. The ball is about 1-3/4” in diameter. (Note: measurements are approximate) Condition: It is in good vintage condition. It shows age appropriate handling and storage wear with minor scuffs, scratches, and dings. The rosewood is luscious with good color and gloss. There is a small rub spot in the center of the base where the orb rests. It’s a nice clean example that is ready for use or display.
