Description: 1970’s Eterna-Matic 1000 Automatic Swiss Made Vintage Date Watch About the watch & condition: Here we have a Eterna Matic watch with a automatic movement. It’s a good looking watch with a beautiful dial. It’s running smoothly and keeps reasonable time. When time tested over 24 hours it was within around 1 minute but did have slightly low amplitude. This could be improved with a service however can absolutely be worn as is. More details below: The dial on this watch is a nice grey colour with silver & white hands/indeces. Beautiful looking watch and looks great on the wrist. The dial does have some minor patina however I actually really like it the way it is, makes it a little more unique! The crystal is nice and clean bar a deep scratch near the 9 o’clock. To remove this I think you’d have to replace the crystal. The case is stainless steel and looks great, it does have some light surface scratching which you’d expect from a older vintage watch. It still has its original branded crown im which is working well with no issues. The date is quickset and can be swapped by pulling the crown out to its furthest position, if you’re unsure how to use it please just message. The watch is sat on an unbranded leather strap that will fit a wrist sized 7 3/4 inches. It suits the watch well however does have some wear and is slightly thinner than the lug width. You could definitely replace this to freshen the watch up. This is an automatic watch meaning it runs off the movement of your wrist. The watch has a small power reserve however if left for a period of time it will have likely stopped. This is just for the watch, there’s no box or paperwork.
