Description: NGC 1986-(s) American silver eagle struck on sandpaper (emory) disc. The disc was used for preparing the die for striking coins, and would normally have been removed and destroyed. Some of these made it out of the mint. They are struck on one side, and have a "uniface" other side. These are scarce, and generally popular. One of the few major error/experimental items on silver eagles that collectors can buy. A decent piece in terms of grade, with a only few minor folds and a small hole.
