Description: NEC (New Japan Electric?), P-16 type (1950s?), 5-tube vacuum tube radio with magic eye, in need of maintenance. Width 46 cm, height 22 cm, depth 19 cm (main unit only). 🔵1 inch = 2.54 cm (25.4 mm) When listing, I connected it to an outlet and an antenna over 2 meters long to check that it was working, and it was receiving radio broadcasts from NHK and other stations. However, when cleaning it, the wiring from the magic eye was accidentally disconnected, and I was unable to find the connection point, so I was no longer able to receive radio broadcasts (see pic-10, red line). It is powered and there is noise from the speaker, but at this time, it is not possible to receive radio broadcasts. The dial tuning does not move well, and I think the string needs to be re-tensioned. As for the exterior, since the main unit is an old wooden box, there are peeling and scratches, so I think it needs to be repaired completely. The front dial is in good condition with no scratches. We have no knowledge of products like this, so please check and judge for yourself based on the photos. Furthermore, as this is a very old product, there is no guarantee that it will work.
