Description: This intriguing and unique original modernist solid bronze sculpture, dated 2005, was created by the artist Terry Thommes (American, 1954-2007). Thommes, born in Plainfield, New Jersey, was an accomplished sculptor & his major art works are found throughout the U.S. & Europe. This small piece, likely representing an abstract interpretation of a boat, has pyramid (burgundy colored) and ball on its deck separated by a tall spiral mast. The hull has an overall verdigris patina and is signed on the lower right "Thommes 05". This small sculpture measures 6-3/4" height x 4-1/4" length x 1-7/8" height and weighs a hefty 1 lb. 11 oz. The piece would display nicely upright on a stand or could be laid on its side on a table top or shelf. In very good estate condition with no damage or repairs.
