Acoma Pueblo Pottery canteen by Carolyn Concho - Mimbres Bird and Fish Design

Description: This black on white pottery canteen is handmade by Acoma Pueblo artist, Carolyn Concho, member of the Corn Clan. It features a Mimbres Bird and fish Design encircled by a border. Carolyn only uses natural materials to create her pottery. She gathers clay, minerals and pigments from local deposits of Acoma Pueblo, and she only uses collected rain water to soak, clean and mix her clay.
