Description: It should be pointed out that the 1916 book itself has little to do with aviation but the front endpapers were were used by an individul to paste clippings of these two aviators, each of whom also added inscriptions from 1925 and 1929 respectively. Art Goebel (1895-1973) did much stunt flying for movies in the twenties, and Frank Hawks (1897-1938) was a "record breaking" aviator (performed the first inflight refuelling in 1921) during the twenties and thirties (there is much information of each on the Internet). Book has a good deal of wear, and top inner corners of first two pages have been partially worn away or have small holes (please see pics).
