Lunn Studios holds the copyrights to this design but you can use it in your own work without worries. Producing hundreds of yards would require being granted a license by us first. Please inquire. These designs are much rarer than Traditional Tjap designs and in many instances, only 1-2 were ever made. The Caps are made by hand from copper which is cut, bent, notched, and assembled to match our original artwork. These Cap makers are a vanishing group of old-style craftsmen. Simple or basic designs can take a week to produce, however, more complicated designs can take 2+ weeks to make. The complexity is reflected in the price. This used cap is serviceable but not in perfect new condition. Minor repairs have been made to restore it to its original condition when possible. These caps can be used to stamp wax, cold wax, pigment, and thickened dye with good results. By using a method of "rubbing" paint sticks, crayons, oil pastels, and charcoal can be used to print the design. Caps also make great conversation pieces or wall hangings, especially when the handle is removed and mounted in a shadow box frame. All caps have handles for use in batik production. All caps have a handle similar to the one in the second picture. The picture of the handle is just an example and not the actual one you will receive.
