Here's my story...I brought this as a replacement for my 2012 vehicle's Homelite/GNTX auto dimming mirror in 2019. Using a 12-volt power supply, and electrical schematic I had at the time, I confirmed that this mirror's auto dimming feature worked, and that my OEM part was indeed broken from an auto dimming perspective. However, when I went to install, much to my dismay and disappointment the 10-pin plug on this replacement mirror did not fit my OEM 8 or 12 pin config...I forget which it was. Anyway, the company i bought this mirror from (Dallas Parts Depot) for approx $57 wanted to charge me a 20% restocking fee. I said screw that, put the mirror back in a box, and let it sit for 5 years inside my house. So if you want to replace your GNTX/Gentex/Homelite auto dimming mirror with garage door opener and compass, just make sure your connector is a ten pin configuration and you should be good (see photo).
