It was the only example that did not have the "parabolas" that were common at the time on its three rudders. Since the time for the first jets was approaching - the first Boeing 707s were put into service in 1960 - the "Super Star", as it was called by Lufthansa, was only granted its position as a long-haul flagship for a short time. D-ALUB was converted into a freighter in 1960 before she was finally sold in 1966.
