It features artwork by the legendary Kevin Maguire, and is one of the more memorable cover images from his classic late 1980's/early 1990's sought-after period, which featured some of the best work of his career including the JLA / Justice League International bwa-ha-ha era with Keith Giffen and J. M. DeMatteis. This cover I believe is an homage to the iconic "Raising the Flag" image from World War II, except that it includes aliens instead of American soldiers! It is done on official DC Cover Stock, measuring approximately 11" by 17". Please note that there is a bit of what looks like either whiteout or eraser residue (not sticky) in the middle area of the cover (underneath the flag), and around the outline of the outstretched arm at the middle right side edge of the cover. This does not really show in the first main scan, so please be aware of this. You can see it better in the second picture. The cover is otherwise in excellent condition, and displays nicely. This is a rare opportunity to get a truly classic Maguire cover, and one of the more memorable cover images from this classic Legion of Super-Heroes spinoff series.
