Crocodile shoes have always been the signature stomp for the well-dressed man and a Crocodile Belt the companion waist ornament. It's quite obvious today that we are living in different times than the 1950's and 60's. There are a few holdouts however, who prefer a "slick" pair of Crocodile shoes over signature basketball shoes. Perhaps, the real blessing is having the wisdom to know which shoes are appropriate for the occasion. (Think it over). The sewn insole label reads: "DAVID EDEN". The gold embossed printed mark "MADE IN SPAIN" and style "MICHAEL", along with size (8 1/2) is located on the shoe tongue (clear photo obscured). The shoe laces are accented with rolled Ostrich skin tips. These shoes are in very good pre-owned condition with no scrapes, no cracks, no creasing, and gently worn. The leather soles and combined leather and rubber heels show normal wear and are original. Measurements: Outsole length, heel to toe...11 3/4", Width at ball of foot...4 3/8", Heel height...1 1/8". NOTE: The leather outsole length and width extends approx. 1/4" around shoe vamp, sides and back, which adds to overall measurement, however, the insole length and width is reduced by that same measurement. Attention should be given to listed measurements to insure proper fit. These shoes were originally quite expensive when purchased and has held their value over the years.
