Description: DATING TO THE EDWARDIAN ERA, AROUND 1914. FASHIONED OF A STRIKINGLY BEAUTIFUL METALLIC GOLD LAME BROCADE FLORAL SILK TIERED LAYERED TULLE TRIMS THE SIDES TULLE SHORT SLEEVES WITH AN INNER SILK LINING THAT IS MOST UNUSUAL AS IT HAS A FRAYED ZEBRA STRIPE PATTERN. SNAPS CLOSE THE REAR WITH SILK CHIFFON AND SILK TULLE TRIMMING THE TOP NECKLINE. THE INTERIOR IS LINED IN SILK WITH THE BOTTOM SKIRTING IN LAYERS OF METALLIC GOLD LACE AND PLEATED LACE RUFFLES THAT PEAK OUT ALONG THE BOTTOM EDGE. INTERIOR IS LABELED SAKS & CO CONDITION: THERE IS BREAKAGE TO THE SILK BENEATH THE ARM ON EACH SIDE THAT IS HIDDEN AND ENCASED BY THE TULLE SLEEVES AND I PERSONALLY WOULD PICK OUT THE SHATTERING SILK. THE SILK TULLE OF THE TOP LEFT SHOULDER HAS SOME SMALL HOLES AS DOES THE RIGHT WITH AN AREA OF STAINING AND A DARK YELLOW ON THE TOP LEFT. THERE ARE TWO SMALL HOLES JUST BENEATH THE WAIST ON THE LEFT SIDE, JUST ASIDE THE FLORAL, WITH SOME SMALL HOLES ALONG THE STEMS OF THE FLORALS. THE TULLE ON THE RIGHT SIDE HAS SPATTERED DISCOLORATION TO THE TOP LAYER AND I PERSONALLY WOULD CLEANLY REMOVE THE TOP LAYER OF TULLE ON EACH SIDE AS THE UNDER LAYERS DO NOT SHOW AS MUCH STAINING, THERE ARE ONLY TWO THUMBPRINTS OF STAINING TO THE UNDER LAYER. THE WHITE FABRIC OF THE TOP IN BOTH THE FRONT AND REAR, ALTHOUGH WELL DONE, IS A MORE MODERN REPLACMENT AND I PERSONALLY WOULD REMOVE AND USE A MORE PERIOD AND QUAILTY FABRIC.
