Original 1940s Black Rayon Crepe 10-12 Swing Skirt Suit Jacket Fashion Guild

Description: This is an original 1940's black skirt suit. The tag reads "An original design Registered by a member of Fashion Originators Guild". The suit jacket has darts for shaping the fabulous nipped in waist. There are 8 bakelite buttons for closure and a button on each cuff. The long sleeves are semi-sheer from the shoulders down. A laydown collar that begins at the center back neck and welt pockets complete this fitted jacket. There are a few light tiny threads coming from the fabric. The 8-panel swing skirt requires a side zipper. It was removed at some point. The skirt has several tiny holes and light tiny threads from the fabric. The skirt could be patched from underneath or used as a pattern. This style was very popular during the 40's. This suit was just dry cleaned. It has some shine in places. Please look closely at the photos as they are part of the description. Please check the measurements for your perfect fit. In my opinion, this would fit a size 10 best. It fits a normal 12 but is tight.
