More like 3/4 inch diameter This is a piece of 5/8 inch diameter x 100 feet of 3 strand manila type rope we purchased from a Navy surplus sale. This comes off of the unused new spools. They used this rope for pulley line. It would work great for decoration. This stuff is great for authentic nautical decorating or movie props where rope is needed.
