Henricus Lüppo Cramer (born March 5, 1871 in Leer; † 1943) was a German chemist and pioneer of photography. From 1894 to 1901 he worked as a chemist at the Schering company in Berlin, including in the photography department, where Cramer developed the developer Adurol. From 1902 to 1918 he was manager of the dry plate factory Dr. C. Schleußner in Frankfurt a. M. During the First World War he worked briefly in the war industry before becoming technical director of the Kranseder dry panel factory in Munich in 1920. From 1922 he worked as head of the photochemical laboratory at Deutsche Gelatinefabriken AG in Schweinfurt. He turned down an offer to the Vienna University of Technology as a full professor of photochemistry and scientific photography in 1929. After retiring in 1932, he continued his scientific research at the Institute for Applied Optics at the University of Jena (“Abbeanum”). Cramer wrote numerous scientific publications.
