Description: You are bidding on the lot of 2 hard cover song books containing music written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. While neither is specifically dated, indicators point that both of these items were printed in the late 19th century, circa 1890 or so. Pleae view pics for details! You get: "MOZART Klavierstucke" (translated as "Piano Pieces"). This brown hard cover book is well constructed and pages can be turned without fear of ripping or tearing. Title page indicates this was printed by CF Peters (aka Edition Peters) in Leipzig, Germany. You can wiki-pedia CF Peters and a history of the publisher will come up. Approximately 55 pages of just music! See pics 4 and 5. At the bottom of page 2 there is very old stain. There are a few pencil marks on the first 7 pages of the music, looks like just small notes on time; no other pen or pencil marks in this book after that. Please note the smudging on the corners of the early pages, probably from the original owner turning pages while playing this music! Smudging is darkest in the early pages, lightens up to almost non existant towards the end. "Mozart FIGARO" aka "Die Hochziet des Figaro Opera Buffa in 4 Acten von W.A. Mozart" aka "The Marriage of Figaro Opera in 4 acts by W. A. Mozart". Black Hard cover book, the first three pages of the book have come off of the binding as well as the blank back cover page. Binding has some issues, front and inside, see pics. 240 pages of music and lyrics. All text is written in German. I believe this was published by Friedrich Hofmeister in Leipzig, Germany; and distributed (in part) by Louis Gregh from Paris, France. See title page snap shot for information and translate at your own volition should you see fit to do so. This book is also generally clean of marks of pen or pencil and does not have the smudging on the corners from page turning like the other book. Of note, at the bottom of the title page, there are two marks of note. One is a circular stamp very similar to a US postal stamp. It is difficult to read as the stamp is light, is not full complete, and is stamped over pre-existing darker text. Starting from the left most mark of the circle where it cuts off the paper, going clock wise, I believe it reads "M. KRAMER - MACHER." and going across the circle I think it reads "WIEN_V." (the underscore meaning I don't know the icon printed there). To the right of that is a hand written note that I believe is a name, see pic.
