Any of these that don’t sell, I will keep. This is a Becker Dublin Chimney, Tall Bowl Estate Briar Tobacco Pipe (Lightly Smoked) just a great pipe from a top notch maker. Lightly Smoked Made by the famed Beckers in Rome, Italy 2.5″ Deep Tobacco Chamber Details: Length: 5-1/2 inches Bowl Width: 1-3/4 inches Bowl Depth: 3.0 inches Chamber diameter: 7/8 of an inch Weight: 1.71 ounces In the late 1970s, Fritz and his son Paolo began crafting pipes using top-tier plateau briar from Calabria, known for its exceptional quality. The brand officially started in 1979 when their names appeared on the pipes. Until Fritz's passing in 1991, both father and son collaborated on each Becker pipe. The Becker family is one of Italy’s most renowned pipe-making lineages. Beginning with the painter, sculptor, and WW2 British intelligence officer Fritz Becker, the Becker name became synonymous with Italian high-quality pipes after Fritz was discovered by Giorgio Musico, a pipe-maker himself, and owner of a popular pipe shop in Rome. Both Fritz and Giorgio had sons, Paolo Becker and Massimo Musico who learned pipe-making from their fathers and would go on to collaborate in making the famous Becker & Musico pipes, before parting to return to making Becker pipes and Musico pipes once more. Paolo passed away in 2014, but his son, Federico continues to make Becker pipes, to continued acclaim.
