It is signed "Jozef Israels" in the lower right hand corner, however the plaque on the front reads "School of Jozef Israels. Circa 1885." There are Christie's auction stickers on the back that attribute the piece to "Josef Israels" and give the title "Waiting for the Fishing B(oats)." The canvas measures approximately 22" x 18".
