Description: This is a vintage wood crate which once held 24 bottles of A-TREAT Soft Drinks which were made in Allentown, Pennsylvania (see my picture #9 as the words "A-TREAT" have faded on the sides. You can just make out "ALLENTOWN, PA" on the box in my picture #5 & 7. Their logo was TAKE HOME A-TREAT; in addition to that, you can see what looks like a stemmed glass with bubbles above it on the box in my picture #7. As you can see, the writing is very faded. Case has built-in handles and metal reinforcing bands around the edges; those bands have some surface rust. The crate is 17 1/4 x 11 3/4 x 4 3/8" and weighs approx. 5 lbs. prior to being boxed for shipment to the winner. Inside the crate is what I believe to be the date of the carrier--4-53 or April, 1953, along with the manufacturer of the partitions--EVERLAST PARTITIONS and the manufacturer of the box--DREYER & CO. out of Baltimore. There are some other numbers inside as well--614129 #3. As you can see, there is a small silver of wood missing from the underside (see picture #9 ). Check out all my pictures.
