Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 World War II in Europe, seen from the perspective of Hitler’s Generals, a group of very talented, disciplined soldiers who, left to their own devices, probably could have produced a different result for the war, had the ego of Adolf Hitler not continually intruded. The book cover lists 15 names, ranging from the well known personages of Rommel, Deitrich, Guderian and Paulus, to lesser known individuals such as Bock, Brauchitsch, Halder and Hoth, plus several in between. All highly professional and accomplished players in their own right. The book proceeds through WWII, starting with the blitzkrieg inro France in 1940, the invasion of Russia in 1942, and the Allied landings from 1942 on, which put the Germans mainly on the defensive, and describes the impact of these individuals on each stage of the conflict. A very interesting study, well worth the read. This 1977 Hardcover is in very good condition, with no internal markings and nominal dust jacket wear.
