Description: TRUE GRIT ORIGINAL MOVIE PROMOTIONAL (17" x 13") CANVAS BAG - 1969 This is a very rare promotional item for the original release of True Grit in 1969. This was given as a handout to theater owners who attended the Mideastern Theatre Owners Convention in Cincinnati, OH back in July of 1969. I acquired this bag directly from the previous owner's family of The Valley Drive-in Movie Theater in Newark, Ohio. This is very likely the only remaining bag from this giveaway and a must to own for any John Wayne/True Grit fan! Condition:Item has been in storage for 50+ years and has some light soiling and has a light odor from being stored over the years. One of the drawstrings has been torn. Overall, it is in really good condition!
